Second:  Over the past few weeks there have been some exciting things happening with Heck Yes!  We’ve expanded and created Heck Yes Media Publications.  The first creation under this umbrella is That’s Right! I wanted a place where others could contribute ideas and expand on an old idea from years ago where people could rant, inform and entertain.  It’s not the most original idea in the world by a long shot, but I think we can have some fun with it and see where it goes, come along for the ride!  Moving along..

Third: I’ve been listening to the popular BS Report podcast ever since it started a few years ago.  That show has grown and has many episodes per week and I just can’t keep up, but during the football season I never miss a weekly episode where host Bill Simmons and his friend review the previous week’s games and then try to guess the betting lines for the next week’s games.  It’s focused, entertaining and short.  I realized how much I enjoyed that focused show compared to the rest of his episodes and the idea came to me:  I need a focused show.  I didn’t want to change Heck Yes, so it had to be something new.  Chris & I discussed it and even brought Producer Adam to the fold….but what would the topic be?  No one wants to hear about model club every week…everyone has movie podcasts…politics, nah…we kept coming back to something we both love: Music.  So after some discussion, it was decided and hence the birth of “The Heck Yes Music Show”.

It will be a weekly 30 minute show focused on the music world we know and love.  Album reviews, music news, band discussions…whatever, it’s a work in progress.  The first show is ready to go and will be released Friday afternoon via this Heck Yes site.  Depending on how well our current hosting solution supports both shows, it may or may not get it’s own feed…but a dedicated web site for the music show is in the works, so stay tuned.
